What a tremendous blessing to hear from our friends and brothers, Rev. Marty Tew and Bishop Benjamin Nakuku, at Springfield PFWB Church yesterday. We were greatly encouraged by reports from the PFWB churches based in Nigeria, Uganda, and Kenya, and of work at Shalom Watotos Home of Hope Orphanage. More importantly, we were encouraged through the sharing of the word of God by Benjamin, who reminded us from the story of Bartimaeus that even our weaknesses can be used to bring glory to God if we will but cry out in faith (Mark 10:46-52).
For those who were unable to attend, or who would benefit from a reminder, there are opportunities for you to partner in the work of the gospel in Kenya right now. Your earnest prayers for the work of missions across the globe are always needed. The orphanage is in need of bedding (mattresses, pillows, and linens), which can be purchased for $80 per bed. Also, there remain approximately 25 children in need of a monthly sponsor--just $35 per month will support the needs of one child. Please prayerfully consider how God would have you to invest in the work of His kingdom. If you'd like more information about these specific needs, please contact Pastor Mike Mobley or learn more about PFWB Missions here.
